Sometimes, I look back on my day and think, “Well, that was weird.” Today, after 3 hours of solid productivity, I went to the last Prep Lab class of the semester where we basically played with an assortment of fish from 99 Ranch Market. Was amped to learn how to prep fish for eating purposes but ended up treating them like the rest of the specimen. Wearing latex gloves and cutting the belly of a frozen tilapia with lab scissors was not only frustrating but also just… bizarre. Gets me thinking though…I’d be so down to learn how to skin a wild boar for aforementioned eating purposes a la Andrew Zimmern.
Also, deactivated the facebook in hopes of finishing off this shit semester strong.
Also-also, Zoe’s vegan banana chocolate chip walnut cookies are the best cookies I have ever tasted. Might eat one every day this week. Whatever.
